While you’re scrolling through your socials feeling good about yourself, mine that gold. Like and comment on your favorite posts and DM each fan to ask if they mind if you repost. Do that a bunch of times, then repost as you get approvals. Reposting UGC has been proven to result in higher engagement than regular posts. Are you paying attention? Good, read on to learn more.
- From stage encourage fans to post and tag you so you can repost. Fans will post more often with the hope you’ll see their post.

- Get your music onto TikTok and get your fans to make content using it! Get enough of these and you’ve got the makings of a great promo video.

- Create contests where fans are incentivized to post, comment, repost, tag you, etc.
- Whenever you’re using someone else’s content, get their permission and give them credit. Follow this rule, every time.
- Put the work in to ensure your music is ready to be monetized on every platform. If people are sharing posts with your music in it, you deserve to get paid.
There is no better way to build your brand than by posting authentic content that truly represents you and your fans. There is no content more authentic than content made by your fans at your shows, wearing your merch, or creating content with your music featured or in the background.
