Don't judge a book by its color. Don't judge a person by the color of their skin. We hear these maxims all the time. Why? Because people DO THESE THINGS. And they will indeed judge your music--at least initially--by your art. Whether at a used records store our scouring the web for new bands, we almost always see the art before hearing the music--and decide whether or not to proceed. Just because your bass player's roommate's girlfriend owns Photoshop does NOT mean this important quest is hers. Just sayin'.
